Critical Evaluation:
Once the ukulele, had come to its end and final stage of manufacturing, it was evident that this project fulfilled certain areas of which was set out for it at the beginning before construction even proceeded.
The design need and brief were as followed:
Need:
Commercially available musical instruments can be quite expensive and not necessarily easy to play for many individuals, as many instruments don't carter for people's unique playing styles.
Brief:
Design and construct a musical instrument which is suited to the playing style of the potential user.
Overall, when dwelling on these above statements, it became evident on how much the ukulele has either fulfilled or lacked certain qualities when it was created. Both need and brief were tested when an expert from the music industry tested and critiqued the appearance and functionality of the musical instrument compared to other similar products within the market.
The following comment was created to assess where the wooden ukulele stood compared to other well known ukuleles. Completed by a professional in the music industry:

Overall, the end report was positive although there was some areas which were queried. Those areas include, the overall weight of the instrument and sound of the instrument. The expert was most impressed with the overall sound produced by the ukulele, stating that "it tuned and sounded very similar to other companies equivalents" (Turner, 2016). Although, whilst playing the ukulele he noticed that it did produce the "buzzed effect" (Tuner, 2016). The buzzed effect it the sound of which the vibration hang too long within the strings and cause a buzzed sound when being played. It produced by the angle of the nut at the top of the neck. He suggested that there wasn't a steep enough angle between the strings and the angled neck tuning pegs. The sketch below will illustrate this phenomenon better:
